Horsham (Wimmera RC)

Horsham is a thriving town situated on the edge of the Grampians National Park in Western Victoria. As the hub of the Wimmera, Horsham is host to three race meetings in the 2011/2012 Season - two of which are popular feature days. The racing facilities are modern and the racecourse is conveniently set within walking distance to the town centre.

 

The season jumps into action in Spring with the Horsham Cup, 16th October. This is Horsham's premier horse racing event and one not to be missed. The town relishes in Cup fever with a pre-cup night of nights held on the Friday night. As expected, fashion plays a vital role at the Cup with fashion displays and fashions on the field being very popular and hotly contested. Horsham really comes alive on the third Sunday in October as the entire community backs the Horsham Cup .

 

From Spring we now look towards Christmas and the MIXX FM Santa Day races, 18th December. This is a great way to ease yourself into the Christmas mood and provides the perfect opportunity to catch-up with friends and family for that Christmas drink before Christmas.

 

Fashions on the field in various categories appealing to all ages are hosted on both feature days.  All of the feature racedays at Horsham host live music and entertainment, free kids activities and full gourmet catering and marquee options available.
